Forestry Mulching
In the last several years Forestry Mulching has become very popular with customers and is a Eco friendly method of clearing and beautifying property's. Our powerful brush grinding and mulching equipment creates and distributes a layer of mulch, which helps speed the recovery of the land. Mulching creates a healing blanket that retains moisture and reduces erosion, promotes a healthy property watershed, provides a protective cover for new growth, and returns nutrients to the soil. Our mulching machines are capable of grinding up any brush and trees up to 8 - 12 inches in diameter which allows us handle just about any property. By processing trees and other vegetation into beneficial mulch where they stand, mulching machines eliminate many of the steps involved in land clearing such as site preparation, cutting, felling, hauling, Bulldozer messes and site cleanup.
Mulching is a environmentally friendly approach and keeps soil disturbance to a minimum and never leaves brush piles to burn.
Excavator Land Clearing
4D Land Services also does Excavator land clearing where the machine is used on river banks, ponds and difficult or impossible areas of brush to access with other machines.
The Excavator with a Thumb is also commonly used to assist the forestry mulchers on jobs when the land has more challenging terrain to clear. The excavator is also frequently used for digging burn pits and trenches, burying old burn piles and a long list of other uses.
Cost Saving
4D Land Services also offers a very popular cost saving approach when Mulching some large property's where I will also use a high speed brush cutter to grind up the smaller brush and underbrush or, pile and burn clearing at a lower cost rate than the forestry mulcher.
This method will cut back on the amount of Mulch on the ground and cut back on the total job cost.
Simply put, sometimes in heavy thick growth, the mulch will be overwhelming and much to deep for grass to ever grow back but a thin layer of mulch is not a problem at all.
Rock Crushing and Rock Milling
4D Land Services also offers Rock milling and Rock Crushing where a machine with special rock crushing teeth pulverize and till the rock back into the Top soil.
Not only will the land be manageable, the soil retains more moisture and provides a much greater seed bed for vegetation.
We can turn your unwanted rock and impossible to maintain property into a smooth, workable soil and base which is excellent for your livestock and for promoting and seeding new grass.
Rock Milling works really well on existing rough rock roads and fence lines. No more tearing up your truck and ATV.
With this method there is no material hauled in our out, saving you thousands of dollars on roads.
This specialized rock milling machine will cover 1.5 - 3 acres per day, depending on the condition of the property.
For Rock milling ranch roads, typically we are able to do about 2 miles of road per day.
